Google analytics vs Adwords conversions -


i wonder if can help.

we have ecommerce site. integrate both paypal , worldpay our payments, , have added both secure.worldpay.com , paypal.com list of referral exclusions in analytics. have added adwords conversion tracking receipt page of our checkout process.

the problem experiencing conversions being shown in adwords, not same analytics telling us. if take monday example. had 14 orders. adwords tells converted 13 of orders, yet analytics attributes 7 cpc , 7 organic.

we find ourselves in awkward position dont know google product trust! spend more on adwords believing converts of our orders, or spend less considering accounts 50% of conversions!

we have 1 final weird issue, whereby every ecommerce data not sent analytics. there anyway of getting ecommerce tracking data call check if there error?

google adwords , google analytics measure conversions in different ways.

google adwords tracks clicks on ads, , when coupled google analytics attributes conversions in 30-day window ad (default setting). read as: if makes purchase within 30 days after clicking on ad, it's because have seen ad.

google analytics attributes conversions using last-click attribution, means medium/source of last click given conversion.

if user clicks on ad great headphones , ends on product detail page of headphones on website x. decides leave website x compare headphones offerings of other vendors: website y , z. user decides return first website x typing in "headphones website x" in popular search engine (not clicking ads).

google adwords contribute conversion it's doing ("see user clicked ad , bought headphones within 30 days"). google analytics attribute conversion organic channel ("that user bought headphones, last time saw him came search engine, that's organic").

another difference between google adwords , google analytics adwords dates it's conversion on time of click on ad, google analytics dates it's conversion on date takes place. if ad clicked on wednesday , conversion takes place on friday, adwords date conversion on wednesday , google analytics date conversion on thursday.
