ios - Which iDevice is best for iPhone apps testing? -

i planning buy idevices low cost (iphone or ipod) test iphone application ( ios 5 9), confused,which 1 best test application.

application info :

  1. need internet
  2. support iphone models
  3. maps
  4. music
  5. camera (back , rear)

in market have lots of devices available iphone 4s, 5c, 5s, 6, 6 plus, ipad mini 2,3, ipad retina,etc,...

i confusing 1 suitable app development , testing. peoples says iphone 4s cheapest price performance cant update os above 9.

please tel me 1 device development , testing if ipod 6 generation suitable mean happy. please post ideas.

it depends after. every single iphone that's available sale meets criteria besides being supported ios 9. if ios9 must i'll defer list of devices supported: iphone 6 plus, iphone 6, iphone 5s, iphone 5c, iphone 5, iphone 4s, ipad air 2, ipad air, ipad 4, ipad 3, ipad 2, ipad mini 3, ipad mini 2, ipad mini, ipod touch 5g, ipod touch 6g. think real questio comes down 2 things: going daily phone, , how willing spend?

if going daily phone, answer simple, latest iphone model can budget. if concern build apps fit on smaller screen or weaker hardware, ios simulator ios development kit comes allows run simulator on ios screen sizes , lets limit simulators performance match of hardware being simulated.

if you're going phone you're developing on you'll want iphone 5 since cheapest model support ios 9. if wasn't ios 9 suggest 4s due small screen , limited performance (by todays standards). force make app scalable , compatible possible smaller screen space , weaker hardware. same can true of 5 models, lesser extent.

a wildcard choice touch 5g, part behaves iphone 5 can access data through wifi. best choice if example want cheapest development device possible, because use non-ios device daily cellphone. have co-worker , works long don't need test stuff out outside of wifi range.

just remember don't need physical device test ios apps, need xcode, , ios simulator.

it easier , more effective test physical device, not @ necessary
